And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Efe / Ef 2:3

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Nous tous d' ailleurs, nous fûmes jadis de ceux-là, vivant selon nos convoitises charnelles, servant les caprices de la chair et des pensées coupables, si bien que nous étions par nature voués à la colère tout comme les autres...

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Il a voulu par là démontrer dans les siècles à venir l' extraordinaire richesse de sa grâce, par sa bonté pour nous dans le Christ Jésus.

Efe / Ef 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Car c' est bien par la grâce que vous êtes sauvés, moyennant la foi. Ce salut ne vient pas de vous, il est un don de Dieu ;

Efe / Ef 2:9

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

il ne vient pas des oeuvres, car nul ne doit pouvoir se glorifier.

Efe / Ef 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Fa asany isika, voaforona tao amin' i Kristy Jesosy mba hanao asa tsara, izay namboarin' Andriamanitra rahateo mba handehanantsika eo aminy.

Fa asany isika, ary zava-bao nataony tao amin' ny Kristy Jeso, mba ho amin' ny asa soa voaomany rahateo hataontsika.

Nous sommes en effet son ouvrage, créés dans le Christ Jésus en vue des bonnes oeuvres que Dieu a préparées d' avance pour que nous les pratiquions.

Efe / Ef 2:11

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Rappelez-vous donc qu' autrefois, vous les païens - qui étiez tels dans la chair, vous qui étiez appelés " prépuce " par ceux qui s' appellent " circoncision ", . . . d' une opération pratiquée dans la chair ! -

Efe / Ef 2:12

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

rappelez-vous qu' en ce temps-là vous étiez sans Christ, exclus de la cité d' Israël, étrangers aux alliances de la Promesse, n' ayant ni espérance ni Dieu en ce monde !

Efe / Ef 2:13

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Fa ankehitriny kosa, ao amin' ny Kristy Jeso, hianareo izay lavitra fahiny, dia tongan' ny ran' ny Kristy akaiky.

Or voici qu'à présent, dans le Christ Jésus, vous qui jadis étiez loin, vous êtes devenus proches, grâce au sang du Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

cette Loi des préceptes avec ses ordonnances, pour créer en sa personne les deux en un seul Homme Nouveau, faire la paix,

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

et les réconcilier avec Dieu, tous deux en un seul Corps, par la Croix : en sa personne il a tué la Haine.

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Ainsi donc, vous n'êtes plus des étrangers ni des hôtes ; vous êtes concitoyens des saints, vous êtes de la maison de Dieu.

Efe / Ef 2:20

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

En lui toute construction s' ajuste et grandit en un temple saint, dans le Seigneur ;

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

en lui, vous aussi, vous êtes intégrés à la construction pour devenir une demeure de Dieu, dans l' Esprit.
