The Lord also spake unto Joshua, saying,

Jos 20:2

Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses:

Lazao amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely hoe: Fidio ny tanàna fandosirana izay nasaiko nolazain' i Mosesy taminareo,

Anendreo tanàna fialofana hianareo araka izay nandidiako anareo tamin' ny alàlan' i Moizy,

" Parle aux Israélites et dis-leur : Donnez-vous les villes de refuge dont je vous ai parlé par l' intermédiaire de Moïse,

Jos 20:3

That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.

handosiran' izay nahafaty olona tsy nahy; dia ho fandosirana ho anareo izany mba tsy ho azon' ny mpamaly rà

hahazoan' ny mpamono handosirana, dia izay nahafaty olona tsy nahy, fa tsy nahalala, ka hatao fialofana ho anareo tsy ho azon' ny mpamaly rà.

où pourra s' enfuir le meurtrier qui a frappé quelqu' un par inadvertance involontairement , et qui vous serviront de refuge contre le vengeur du sang.

Jos 20:4

And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.

Ary raha misy mandositra ho ao amin' ny anankiray amin' ireo tanàna ireo ka mijanona eo anoloan' ny vavahady ary mandahatra ny teniny eo anatrehan' ny loholona amin' izany tanàna izany, dia hampidiriny ho ao an-tanàna izy ka homeny toerana, mba hitoetra ao aminy.

C' est donc vers une de ces villes que le meurtrier devra s' enfuir. Il se tiendra à l' entrée de la porte de la ville et exposera son cas aux anciens de la ville. Ceux-ci l' admettront dans leur ville et lui assigneront un lieu où il habitera parmi eux.

Jos 20:5

And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not beforetime.

Ary raha manenjika azy ny mpamaly rà, dia tsy hanolotra ilay nahafaty olona ho eo an-tànany izy, satria nahafaty tsy nahy ny namany, fa tsy dia nankahala azy teo aloha.

Raha manenjika azy ny mpamaly rà, dia tsy hatolony ho eo an-tànany ny mpamono, satria tsy fahalalana no nahafatesany ny namany, fa tsy nankahala azy taloha izy.

Si le vengeur du sang le poursuit, ils ne livreront pas le meurtrier entre ses mains, car c' est involontairement qu' il a frappé son prochain, sans avoir eu contre lui de haine invétérée.

Jos 20:6

And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.

Dia hitoetra ao amin' izany tanàna izany izy mandra-pisehony eo anatrehan' ny fiangonana hotsaraina, sy mandra-pahafatin' izay mpisoronabe amin' izany andro izany; dia hiverina ilay nahafaty olona ka hody any an-tanànany sy any an-tranony, dia any amin' ny tanàna izay nialany fony izy nandositra.

Fa amin' izay dia hody ilay nahafaty olona ary hiverina any an-tanànany sy any an-tranony, dia any amin' ny tanàna nialany nandositra.

Il devra rester dans cette ville jusqu'à ce qu' il comparaisse en jugement devant la communauté jusqu'à la mort du grand prêtre en fonction à cette époque. Alors seulement le meurtrier pourra retourner dans sa ville et sa maison, dans la ville d' où il s' est enfui. "

Jos 20:7

And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah.

Ny natokany dia Kadesy any Galilea amin' ny tendrombohitr' i Neftalì; Sikema, amin' ny tendrombohitr' i EfraIma, ary Kariat-Arbe, dia Hebrona izany, amin' ny tendrombohitr' i Jodà.

On consacra donc Qédesh en Galilée, dans la montagne de Nephtali, Sichem dans la montagne d'Éphraïm, et Qiryat-Arba - c' est Hébron - dans la montagne de Juda.

Jos 20:8

And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.

Any an-dafin' i Jordany tandrifin' i Jerikao any atsinanana dia ireto no nofidiny: Bosora, any an' efitra, any amin' ny tany lemaka, an' ny fokon-dRobena; Ramota, any Galaada, an' ny fokon' i Gada; ary Gaolona, any Basàna, an' ny fokon' i Manase.

De l' autre côté du Jourdain de Jéricho, à l' orient, on désigna dans le désert, sur le plateau, Béçèr de la tribu de Ruben, Ramot en Galaad, de la tribu de Gad et Golân en Bashân, de la tribu de Manassé.

Jos 20:9

These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.

Ireo no tanàna natokana ho an' ny zanak' Israely rehetra, sy ny vahiny mitoetra eo aminy, hialofan' izay rehetra nahafaty olona tsy nahy, mba tsy ho fatin' ny tànan' ny mpamaly rà izy, alohan' ny hisehoany eo anatrehan' ny fiangonana.

Telles furent les villes désignées pour tous les Israélites et pour les étrangers qui résident parmi eux, pour qu' y pût fuir quiconque aurait frappé quelqu' un par inadvertance, et qu' il échapppât à la main du vengeur du sang, jusqu'à sa comparution devant la communauté.
