Jer / Jr 36:1

And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

Jer / Jr 36:2

Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

Jer / Jr 36:3

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

Angamba hoheverin' ny taranak' i Joda ny loza rehetra izay kasaiko hatao aminy, dia samy hiala amin' ny lalany ratsy avy izy, ka havelako ny helony sy ny fahotany.

Fa angamba dia hohenoin' ny taranak' i Jodà ny loza rehetra kasaiko hatao aminy, mba hiovany, hialany amin' ny làlan-dratsiny avy, ka hamelako ny helony amam-pahotany.

Peut-être qu' en entendant tout le mal que j' ai dessein de leur faire, ceux de la maison de Juda reviendront chacun de sa voie mauvaise; alors je pourrai pardonner leur iniquité et leur péché.

Jer / Jr 36:4

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the Lord:

Jer / Jr 36:6

Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the Lord in the ears of the people in the Lord' s house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

Mais tu iras, toi, lire au peuple, dans le rouleau que tu as écrit sous ma dictée, toutes les paroles de Yahvé, en son Temple, le jour du jeûne. De même tu les liras à tous les Judéens venus de leurs villes.

Jer / Jr 36:7

It may be they will present their supplication before the Lord, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the Lord hath pronounced against this people.

Fa angamba ny fifonany hoborahina eo anatrehan' i Jehovah, ka dia samy hiala amin' ny lalany ratsy avy izy; fa loza ny fahatezerana sy ny fahavinirana izay nolazain' i Jehovah ny amin' ity firenena ity.

Angamba ho tonga eo anatrehan' ny Tompo ny fifonany, ary hiova hiala amin' ny làlan-dratsiny avy izy; fa lehibe ny hatezerana amam-pahavinirana nolazain' ny Tompo hahatra amin' ity vahoaka ity.

Peut-être leur supplication touchera-t-elle Yahvé et se convertiront-ils chacun de sa voie mauvaise; car grande sont la colère et la fureur dont Yahvé a menacé ce peuple."

Jer / Jr 36:8

And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the Lord in the Lord' s house.

Ary Baroka, zanak' i Neria, dia nanao araka izay rehetra nandidian' i Jeremia mpaminany azy ka namaky ny tenin' i Jehovah tamin' ny taratasy teo an-tranon' i Jehovah.

Baruch, fils de Nériyya, observa ponctuellement l' ordre que lui avait donné le prophète Jérémie, de lire dans le livre les paroles de Yahvé, en son Temple.

Jer / Jr 36:9

And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

Fa tamin' ny volana fahasivy tamin' ny taona fahadimy manjakan' i Joiakima, zanak' i Josia, mpanjakan' ny Joda, dia niantso fifadian-kanina teo anatrehan' i Jehovah izy tamin' ny vahoaka rehetra tany Jerosalema sy tamin' ny olona rehetra izay efa tonga tany Jerosalema avy eny amin' ny tanànan' ny Joda.

La cinquième année de Joiaqim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, au neuvième mois, on convoqua pour un jeûne devant Yahvé tout le peuple de Jérusalem et tout le peuple qui pourrait y venir de toutes les villes de Juda.

Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the Lord' s house, in the ears of all the people.

Dia novakin' i Baroka teo anatrehan' ny vahoaka rehetra tao an-tranon' i Jehovah ny tenin' i Jeremia tamin' ny taratasy, dia tao amin' ny efi-tranon' i Gemaria, zanak' i Safana mpanoratra, teo amin' ny kianja ambony, teo anoloan' ny vavahady vaovao amin' ny tranon' i Jehovah.

Ary novakin' i Baròka tamin' izay, tao amin' ny boky ny tenin' ny Tompo, tao an-tranon' ny Tompo, amin' ny efitranon' i Gamariasa, zanak' i Safana, mpanoratra, teo amin' ny kianja ambony, anoloan' ny vavahady Vaovao amin' ny tranon' ny Tompo, mba ho ren' ny vahoaka rehetra.

Alors Baruch lut dans le livre les paroles de Jérémie; on était au Temple de Yahvé, dans la salle de Gemaryahu, le fils du scribe Shaphân, dans la cour d' en haut, à l' entrée de la porte Neuve du Temple de Yahvé : tout le peuple pouvait entendre.

When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the Lord,

Then he went down into the king' s house, into the scribe' s chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

dia nidina nankany amin' ny tranon' ny mpanjaka izy ka nankao amin' ny efi-tranon' ny mpanoratra; ary indreo ny mpanapaka rehetra nipetraka teo, dia Elisama mpanoratra sy Delaia, zanak' i Semaia, sy Elnatana zanak' i Akbora, sy Gemaria, zanak' i Safana, sy Zedekia, zanak' i Hanania, mbamin' ny mpanapaka rehetra.

Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

Alors, à l' unanimité, les princes envoyèrent à Baruch Yehudi, fils de Netanyahu, et Shélémyahu, fils de Kushi, pour lui dire : "Ce rouleau dont tu as fait lecture au peuple, prends-le et viens!" Baruch, fils de Nériyya, prit donc le rouleau et arriva près d' eux.

And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

Jer / Jr 36:16

Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

Après avoir entendu toutes les paroles, ils se tournèrent effrayés l' un vers l' autre et dirent à Baruch : "Il nous faut absolument informer le roi de tout cela."

And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

Et ils interrogèrent Baruch : "Apprends-nous comment tu as écrit toutes ces paroles."

Jer / Jr 36:18

Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

Dia hoy Baroka taminy: Ny vavany no nanonona izany teny rehetra izany tamiko, ka dia nosoratako an-taratasy tamin' ny ranomainty.

Baruch leur répondit : "Jérémie me les dictait toutes, et moi je les écrivais avec de l' encre sur ce livre."

Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

Dia hoy ny mpanapaka tamin' i Baroka: Mandehana, ka miere ianao sy Jeremia, ary aoka tsy hisy olona hahita izay itoeranareo.

Les princes dirent alors à Baruch : "Va-t-en, cache-toi, ainsi que Jérémie : que nul ne sache où vous êtes."

And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

Dia niditra tao amin' ny mpanjaka tao amin' ny kianja izy ireo (nefa ny horonan-taratasy efa napetrany tao amin' ny efi-tranon' i Elisama mpanoratra), ary nambarany teo anatrehan' ny mpanjaka ny teny rehetra.

So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe' s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

Le roi envoya Yehudi chercher le rouleau; celui-ci l' apporta de la salle du scribe Elishama et en fit lecture devant le roi et devant tous les princes, debout autour du roi.

Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

Ary nony efa namaky toko telo na efatra Jehody, dia notapatapahin' ny mpanjaka tamin' ny antsipika ny horonan-taratasy ka natsipitsipiny teo anaty afo teo am-patana, mandra-pahalevon' ny afo azy rehetra teo am-patana.

Chaque fois que Yehudi avait lu trois ou quatre colonnes, le roi les lacérait avec le canif du scribe et les jetait au feu sur le brasero, jusqu'à ce que le rouleau entier fût consumé dans le feu du brasero.

Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

Ary na dia efa nifona tamin' ny mpanjaka aza Elnatana sy Delaia ary Gemaria, mba tsy handoro ny horonan-taratasy, dia tsy nety nihaino azy izy.

et pourtant Elnatân, Delayahu et Gemaryahu avaient insisté auprès du roi pour qu' il ne brûlât pas le rouleau; mais il ne les écouta pas.

But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the Lord hid them.

Ary ny mpanjaka nandidy an' i Jeremela, zanak' andriana, sy Seraia, zanak' i Azriela, ary Selemia, zanak' i Abdela, hisambotra an' i Baroka mpanoratra sy Jeremia mpaminany; fa nafenin' i Jehovah izy roa lahy.

Et il ordonna à Yerahméel, fils du roi, à Serayahu, fils de Azriel, et à Shélémyahu, fils de Abdéel, de saisir Baruch, le scribe, et Jérémie, le prophète. Mais Yahvé les avait cachés.

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

Dia tonga tamin' i Jeremia ny tenin' i Jehovah, taorian' ny nandoroan' ny mpanjaka ny horonan-taratasy sy ny teny izay nosoratan' i Baroka avy tamin' ny vavan' i Jeremia, nanao hoe:

Alors la parole de Yahvé fut adressée à Jérémie, après que le roi eut brûlé le rouleau avec les paroles qu' avait écrites Baruch sous la dictée de Jérémie

Jer / Jr 36:28

Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

"Prends un autre rouleau; écris dessus toutes les paroles qui figuraient déjà dans le premier rouleau brûlé par Joiaqim, roi de Juda.

Jer / Jr 36:29

And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

Et contre Joiaqim, roi de Juda, tu diras : Ainsi parle Yahvé. Toi, tu as brûlé ce rouleau en disant : Pourquoi y avoir écrit Il est certain que le roi de Babylone viendra, saccagera ce pays et en fera disparaître hommes et bêtes?

Therefore thus saith the Lord of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

C' est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé contre Joiaqim, roi de Juda. Il n' aura plus personne pour siéger sur le trône de David, et son cadavre sera exposé à la chaleur du jour et au froid de la nuit.

And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

Lui, sa descendance et ses serviteurs, je les châtierai de leurs fautes; j' amènerai sur eux, sur les habitants de Jérusalem et sur les gens de Juda tout le malheur dont je les ai menacés sans qu' ils m'écoutent."

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

Jérémie prit un autre rouleau et le remit au scribe Baruch, fils de Nériyya, qui y écrivit, sous la dictée de Jérémie, toutes les paroles du livre qu' avait brûlé Joiaqim, roi de Juda. De plus, beaucoup de paroles du même genre y furent ajoutées.
